It’s Not About the Money; It’s About the Killing!

3

Okay, so the government is about to shut down.  Partially.

Good.

Because if we don’t stop the killing of innocents in the womb inthis country,  if we don’t at least show our Almighty and Most Holy and Just God, that we are seriously willing to bear some cost, some pain, or at least some  inconvenience for the sake of stopping this evil – He is going to shut the government down and it will not be pretty.

No, I do not expect John Boehner to stand on the steps of the Capitol, go into John the Baptist mode and warn the United States of America: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bear fruit that befits repentance….  Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”

But I do expect him and all the other Republicans who seem to be slogging reluctantly into fighting to stop the dismemberment of small humans to stop pretending that this is all about the money.  There is a reason why Planned Parenthood has arrived at the center of this mess and it isn’t about the money — it is about the killing.

So instead of a scenario where the Republicans are out there saying it is about cutting spending while the Democrats are out there saying it is about “women’s health care,” I want John Boehner and company to open their mouths and say these things (notice how short and sweet and to the point and sound-bite-sized):

It’s not about the money; it’s about the killing. Planned Parenthood is not about women’s health care because abortion is not health care.  Planned Parenthood’s main business is killing children.

It’s not about the money; it’s about the killing. Regardless of whether we have a deficit or a surplus in the budget, we should never be giving government money to pay for abortions, because that is something the majority of Americans oppose.

It’s not about the money; it’s about the killing. Democrats are so beholden to the abortion lobby, that they are willing to shut down the government in order to keep spending tax money on abortion.

If that is what is in your head and heart, then make it come out of your mouth. If that is not in your head and heart, then we elected the wrong guys.

Say it again and again: It’s not about the money; it’s about the killing. You have the pulpit now, a news conference every hour – open your mouth and say it. It’s not about the money; it’s about the killing.

If it were about the money, then it is equally plausible to say either of the following:

    — Democrats are willing to shut down the government in order to preserve a few hundred million dollars for a non-profit. A few hundred million dollars is chump change in this government. Why are they spending so much effort on chump change?

    — Republicans are willing to shut down the government in order to cut a few hundred million dollars for a non-profit. A few hundred million dollars is chump change in this government. Why are they spending so much effort on chump change?

It’s the same argument either way, so if it were really about the money, what’s the big deal? And why can’t we get over the hump?

Because it’s not about the money. Everyone with even a single thought coursing through his brain knows it’s not about the money. Because if it were, no one would care.

  • You’re exactly right, HomeschoolNfpDad, it’s about something more than money. That’s why, in the end, the GOP caved. The Republican Party will fight to the death about financial issues, but they will throw the Christians under the bus whenever it appears to be politically expedient.

The regime, including the two plutocratic political parties, is pervaded by paganism. Militant secularism rules not only inside the beltway, but also in the mainstream media, entertainment industry, educational establishment, and the multinational corporations with their legions of lobbyists.

Nonetheless, the overriding imperative is to find a way to get the country back into some degree of harmony with God, and into conformity with the debt of gratitude the United States owes to our divine Benefactor (as per our national motto: Annuit Coeptis).

To that end we need radical reform that addresses our radical problems. The Friday night compromise refunding Planned Parenthood proves radical change is a forlorn hope if pursued through the hopelessly corrupt system in D.C. It proves that political party politics only waists our precious time and energy.

What an appropriate comparison of the Republicans and Democrats to the Pharisees and the Sadducees, the offspring of the dreaded viper.

Neither of them are prepared to do the right thing to finally cleanse this nation of the horrible sin of sacrificing the innocent unborn so that life can be more carefree, indulgent and affluent for those who are already swimming in sin.

Our ruling class are just protecting themselves and their own brood under the title of Representatives.
They have cleverly escaped the axe once again, or so it seems.
The blood of the innocent still cries out and it is being heard because unlike us, God hears silence.
