Obama: Faith-Based Groups Must Refer Refugee Children for Abortions

obamappThe Obama administration is getting ready to issue new rules requiring charities to provide abortions to child refugees entering the US without their parents. Faith-based groups say this is a contravention of the rights of parents and a violation of the conscience rights of faith-based groups helping resettle the children.

The public has until Monday to comment on the fast-tracked new rules, which were issued on Christmas Eve. The administration says it would be “contrary to the public interest” to wait “until a public notice and comment process is complete.” The administration also asserts that no Congressional review is required and that there is no issue with federalism or any impact on families in the new guidance.

The rules require faith-based providers to make referrals for emergency contraception, partner with groups which provide abortion, or notify the federal government which would make arrangements for the abortion. If groups do not do so, they are not eligible for federal aid. Staff associated with Catholic agencies told the Friday Fax that they had conveyed their objection to the new rules to the Obama administration. They are required to comply no later than June 24, 2015.

The rules also require care provider facilities to train their staff in “LGBTQI” and identifying “transgender and intersex” unaccompanied children. The rules assert that “‘Gender’ refers to the attitudes, feelings, and behaviors that a given culture associates with a person’s biological sex,” and that “This term is not to be confused with ‘sex’ [which]refers to a person’s biological status and is typically categorized as male, female, or intersex.”

To help care workers identify a child’s sex the rules advise, “There are a number of indicators of biological sex, including sex chromosomes, gonads, internal reproductive organs, and external genitalia.” “‘Gender identity,’ refers to one’s sense of oneself as a male, female, or transgender,” it says.

Several human rights instruments require nations to protect children from predation by adults. In cases where parents are still alive, this includes their rights to raise their children in accordance with their religious beliefs.

Even so, in 2013 UNICEF issued a report claiming that children as young as ten years of age have the “right” to sexual and reproductive health services without parental consent. To justify the assertion, UNICEF referred to the comments by the committee that oversees implementation on the Convention on the Rights of the Child. That same committee told the Holy See last year that its opposition to teen sex and abortion represented a violation of the treaty.

Faith-based experts told the Friday Fax that people can send comments to the Obama administration that the requirement to perform, partner or refer for abortion or contraception are a violation of conscience rights.

There is a part of me that is upset w this. And another part that is a resounding so what
I mean of you take government money you have to deal with the strings attached.
    So Don’t take government money

Hang on, what gov’t money? the chump change the chump earns playing golf? It’s our work and our money. They take it with no strings attached and no representation. Then they dispense the largesse with strings attached.
Did the Little Sisters of the Poor ask them for anything? Did Hobby Lobby and countless other faith groups ask them for anything? Then why is there a dictatorial mandate?!
The “resounding so what” is what got a to the point of the Tyranny of taxation with so called representation.

that’s a good point. The article specifically is about the president threatening to cut off funds to groups that do not do what the president things is moral. That goes to demonstrate the point, if you are asking the government to give you tax money they collected, you have to realize you are dealing with the devil. Because the person who controls the purse , has a lot of control. That is the real problem with the affordable care act. And Socialist/ communist schemes in general, is that they centralize control and guarantee complacency with sin. It is much better if our charitable efforts are not dependent on the whims of politicians and the body politic.

Let’s analyze the words in this heading statement –
Obama Tells Faith-based Groups they Must refer Refugee Children for Abortions.

    Obama – a muslim foreigner
Tells – orders, commands, dictatorial style
Faith-based Groups – I have no idea who they are or what they do other than
taking orders and lectures from the foreign muslim dictator.
Must Refer – not should consider referring or follow their faith or conscience but they MUST do what the muslim foreigner orders.
Refugee Children – Whose children?? Refugee!, refugee from what or whom. Does not compute. He’s using his foreign muslim speak again.
Abortions – Now this makes sense. Why would a muslim foreigner not want to abort anything and anyone who gets in his way. The cobra head is snake clever, though. He wants those faith based “folks” to do his dirty work so that his god is pleased with him.

Feb. 23rd…We have heard publicly from so few of our Shepherds/Bishops about this and other matters relating to the mass slaughter of millions of human babies in the womb. So why should Obama even care? If ALL of our Shepherds stood together and tell Obama clearly that they are mandated to obey God and not man and that they will stand with Christ and His Church, things would change. If Obama then declares that he will arrest all of our Shepherds, then last us go and stand with them in the public square and let Obama send his minions and lock us all up…millions of us!!! He is a bully – arrogantly wielding power at will…let him do his best but if we stand together with our Bishops, then he will fail…evil will be blocked and life will flourish…but if they and we do not stand together, then we will be trampled upon…and our faith will be weakened – so many of our brothers and sisters in the Middle East are being persecuted. Children have refused to renounce Jesus Christ and have been slaughtered in front of their parent after having been horribly tortured…can we do less? Stand up and be counted! Let us assure our Bishops that if they take a stand for Christ and His Church, we will stand with them…and Christ will stand with us!
