Presidential Aspirants Clamber Over Mutilated Bodies of Their Grandbabies

Democrat Barack Obama, comments at a Pennsylvania town hall meeting on March 29, 2008:

I’ve got two daughters. Nine-years-old and six-years-old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.

Republican Herman Cain interview with Piers Morgan, aired October 19, 2011 on CNN:

Morgan: But you’ve had children, grandchildren. If one of your female children, grandchildren, was raped, you would honestly want her to bring up that baby as her own?

Cain: You’re mixing two things here, Piers?

Morgan: Why?

Cain: You’re mixing –

Morgan: That’s what it comes down to.

Cain: No, it comes down to it’s not the government’s role or anybody else’s role to make that decision. Secondly, if you look at the statistical incidents, you’re not talking about that big a number. So what I’m saying is it ultimately gets down to a choice that that family or that mother has to make.

Not me as president, not some politician, not a bureaucrat. It gets down to that family. And whatever they decide, they decide. I shouldn’t have to tell them what decision to make for such a sensitive issue.

The state of American politics is such that the question of whether or not their own grandchildren should be torn limb from limb and thrown in the garbage has become a routine subject of speculation for presidential candidates. The state of American presidential candidates is such that they can dispassionately entertain the dismemberment of their own smallest progeny.  They are the men of whom C. S. Lewis wrote, the men without chests. Hollow of heart, they do not become livid with outrage. They do not forcefully reject out of hand any suggestion of approval or complicity in grandchild murder. They equivocate; they finesse; they parse.

And such is that state of the American electorate that having seen a grown man ponder in public the delicate and subtle question of his own grandchild’s execution for convenience sake, the audience waits expectantly for him…

to finish outlining his tax policy.

My only grandchild thus far was conceived in rape. It happens much more often than people realize. My daughter was raped by an international student from her Catholic college. According to http://www.turningpointservices.org/Sexual%20Assault%20-%20Statistics.htm
1 in every 3 women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime and 1 out of 6 will be raped/attempted rape. My grand daughter is one of the most amazing gifts I have ever been given. She is 3 1/2 and already reading. Even if she had birth defects, why sentence a child to the death penalty for the crime of her/his birth father?!?

What are politicians who would not unequivocally defend the life of their unborn child/grand child called? COWARDS!

Cain to Morgan: What gives you the right to ask me that question in public? This is a personal matter.
This is not a government matter unless the government is to have control over what we believe, how we raise our families and what we do with the money that we’re allowed to keep.

We won’t hear that kind of response as men have decided that being emasculated is the best way to get ahead.

Sorry Mary. On Obama…you are correct. This man told us who he was–and we elected him anyway. Over-reach on Cain at this point. Please read http://www.lifenews.com/2011/03/15/herman-cain-blasts-planned-parenthood-abortion-biz-attacks-him/ and note the date. This man does have a grasp of not only what the abortion movement today is about but also it’s origins. I didn’t see his interview with Morgan, but it sure has the conservative blogs buzzing. He did what all these media types do — play ‘gotcha’ with an emotion charged question…and we willingly play along. Which, of course, is good for …. Morgan.

How about Cain to Morgan (leaning forward, with passion):

“Are you seriously asking me whether I think it should be legal or right to dismember a baby because of how he or she was conceived? Are you asking me to consider the execution of my own grandbaby or great grandbaby for some crime of his or her father? Seriously, man to man, that is what you are asking me?!”

He would have laid Morgan out. But he couldn’t. He couldn’t because in the final analysis, no matter how many dance moves he now tries to recover from this HE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN HEART THAT ABORTION IS MURDER AND THAT UNBORN BABIES ARE HUMAN BEINGS WITH A RIGHT TO LIFE. How do I know he does not believe it? By what came out of his mouth.

On Lifesite News’ coverage of this story, someone posted this comment: Mr Cain was saying that the option to KEEP AND RAISE THE BABY should be a decision left to the mother and the family. NOT ABORTION.

    MR. CAIN IS 100% PRO-LIFE.

However others are saying that he has used this “choice” language before, in an interview with John Stossel.

I would sure love to be wrong about him.

This just in from the Susan B Anthony List (a pro-life political response to the EMILY’S List):

Herman Cain discussing abortion, “I can have an opinion on an issue without it being a directive on the nation. The government shouldn’t be trying to tell people everything to do, especially when it comes to a social decision that they need to make.”

    He’s LOST MY VOTE!

A man or woman can only be President for 8 years of his or her life but will have to live with the consequences, good or bad, of any decisions made during that time for the rest of his/her life. So they should just stop playing around with questions and answers. Say clearly and boldly what you believe and what you don’t believe and then let the chips fall where they may. If we get into the game of trying to please everyone, we will please no one and will get ourselves in such a tangle that we ourselves will get lost. Abortion, at whatever stage, is the termination of the life of a human being. As has been stated, the preborn baby’s life should not be terminated because the mother was raped…that would only compound the evil done and the woman/mother will live with the horror of that act for the rest of her life and it will affect everything she does and who she is.
